Good to know.
What airplane will I fly?
Students either fly with a club or school where Aeropict instructs, or provide their own aircraft.
How much does instruction cost?
The standard rate is $65 per hour for flight and ground instruction. Aircraft costs are separate and set by the club, school, or owner.
Is there a discount for MSU Denver students?
Yes, a discount is available for MSU Denver students. Mention it when you apply.
Where do you teach?
Bases are Centennial (KAPA), Greeley (KGXY), and Erie (KEIK). Base days are worked out with each student. Rocky Mountain Metro (KBJC) and Colorado Air and Space Port (KCFO) are coming soon, and available now if you provide the airplane.
How does the travel fee work?
A $20 travel fee applies once per day, not per hour, at a listed airport that isn't that day's base. Elsewhere in Colorado, a higher fee is arranged up front.
Can I learn aerobatics or spins in a rental?
Spins, aerobatics, and other advanced maneuvers require a student-provided aircraft. Aeropict verifies the aircraft is capable of aerobatics before flight.
Do you offer instrument training?

How many hours does a private certificate take?
The FAA minimum is 40 hours under 14 CFR 61.109, and the actual number varies by student. Use the estimator on the Rates page to plan with your own numbers.
How do I get started?
Submit the application, and Aeropict will reach out with next steps. If you are not sure yet, book a discovery flight.
